The tallest living man is Leonid Stadnyk (Ukraine, b.1971), who measured 2.57 m (8 ft 5.5 in) in 2006.
Mr Stadnyk suffers from acromegalic gigantism caused by a tumour on his pituitary gland that stimulated the over-production of the growth hormone.

The world's longest documented hair belongs to Xie Qiuping (Guangxi Province, China) at 5.627 m (18 ft 5.54 in) when measured on May 8, 2004. She has been growing her hair since 1973 from the age of 13.
